We had requested several manufacturers of LCD monitor to fine tune their full range LCD monitor to accommodate and include the CGA signals of our S2000/VCG-1 hardware platform (with 25Mhz on board).

Some manufacturers might have already done that without our request or upon the request and information supplied by other parties. Please note not all brands of full range monitor can support our CGA board.

We had tested, examined meticulously and compared intensively different LCD monitors from several manufacturers. We also tried with different games, some newer ones with better graphic and some older ones which color and graphic are not so detailed. Some monitors shall appear OK and acceptable to most people but not to us.

After careful screening and several program changes, we picked one that has the best overall picture quality, including sharpness and color, and more close to what we could see in XVGA CRT monitor by using XVGA signals of Dual Support Version. (Remember, we are only using CGA signals to test the LCD monitors.)
